Socialism…

These are fine, incremental ideas, professor Wolff, but still not good enough, not for a world beyond reform…

Because Socialism is not "democracy."
Socialism is when the best and brightest consciously decide to work hardest and die first.
Democracy is when billions of average people all vote for the same seat on the same lifeboat…

And this is why democracy has failed. Why democracy is today incapable of social metamorphosis or even degrees of renewal. Why democracy has devolved to electing Prom Royalty, like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or even Elizabeth Warren.

Because no one ever votes for Socialism, in the same way that no one ever voted for Jesus of Nazareth, Sigmund Freud or Charlie Parker...

This is so true. People would almost governor themselves, and others. Decreasing loss, and theft. I just heard a story. A GM of a store was awarded GM of the Year Award. He had increased profits etc. When he asked for a small raise for accomplishing this. He was turned down from corporate. Since then he has become disgruntle. Employee moral went down. Some employees moved to another store or left to another job. He tells his employees he will never promote anyone. He has become bitter, and no longer takes pride in his position or job. This is so sad. A good man destroyed for feeling under appreciated. Now the store is no longer the top producing store. So everyone was affected by this. I am sure there are many similar stories going on all over the nation. You would figure for the ones who control the corporations they would have figured this out by now. So if they are smart? Then they know they are creating this environment. What happens when you can not provide for your family no longer? People get desperate, and no longer care about consequences. It is a very sick system in place today. The only ones suffering is the hard workers who care.
