Exit Poll Morphology
And now, a word from Jared Kushner...
In my own oversimplified, aesthetic terms, the Right's necessity for continuous, albeit mostly minor and biologically deleterious, experimentation and reinvention represents a romanticizing of the failure of capitalism (glut) and the Left its nostalgic, pessimistic acceptance, to the point of worship through theosophy and humanism. My only complaint to the gestalt of liberal and conservative criticism is that both fail to map biology: the immutable, mortal, demographic aging and reset cycles inherent in people and history. In the final analysis, physiology describes a framework for the bigotry of being human.
I strive never to criticize any assumption that there is some way to escape the 20th Century, not even the elite cynicism behind apotheosis. I think that to be younger (immortal?) under that desire is to be essentially and actively miserable (naive) to it and to be older (mature?) is to become increasingly immobilized by it — as if epochs and lives serve as functions for generating history's morphology of The Big Rock Candy Mountain that all but the truest of nihilists have no choice but labor to carry inside us.
Whatever time is, I stack all the days of my life against it.
Whatever
eternity is, my spirit survives in reaching for its more perfect garment.
If hope and faith were nothing more than apology, my mind's
conclusion remains that it is the most important one.
