AI

The race to build out AI is a war to provide deus ex machina (god from the machine) cover for answers we can least comfortably accept. Will it be the final, fractured, hallucinatory model for impenetrable perception that sweeps humanity's ashes back into the sea underpinning the science behind random and meaningless origin of intelligence? Can I still count the way by threes and sevens? Yes, I can!

The truth masquerading as technology's streaming queues for economy, climate, infrastructure, nukes, immigration, socialism, wokeness, history, philosophy... can neither save or destroy us from the fact that older than pagan stacks of financialized claims on the future are growing and seemingly fraying faster now, and that's always scarier, more transient, reactionary and revolutionary for whoever has the most to lose.

Alain Badiou, on the search for consumer objectivity...

Well, good luck with that! It can't stop your property value from falling when you still owe money on it. The future is a levelling of what the present (status quo) can't sustain. Ask yourself if we're better off having neural network algorithms say it? It's too early to tell.
